Nexo Invests in US Broker-Dealer Texture Capital

On Tuesday, Nexo, a cryptocurrency company, announced that it had made a strategic investment into Texture Capital’s parent. Texture Capital is an SEC-registered broker/dealer, and a member the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Texture Capital Holdings Corp. was invested in as part of its seed financing round.

Nexo plans to increase its institutional service offerings through a wide range of partners with the funding. Nexo is primarily focused on crypto lending services. The investment in a regulated broker/dealer will increase its compliance capabilities as well as products for US customers.

Tatiana Metodieva from Nexo’s Head of Corporate Finance and Investments said that Nexo actively invests across all geographies and segments in order to increase its strategic presence, technological solution framework, and regulatory readiness for the digital asset ecosystem.

“Texture’s growth strategy, service orientation, and compliance foresight are well aligned with Nexo’s vision for the US Market.”

A Registered Broker-Dealer

Texture Capital is one the few federally licensed broker-dealers in the United States that can trade and issue digital asset securities. The company targets institutional and accredited investors with its blockchain-enabled marketplace.

The official announcement also stated that the partnership between the two companies will improve Texture Capital’s offerings with advanced DeFi capabilities. This is possible through Nexo’s turnkey solutions to manage crypto assets.
