Grayscale, the largest crypto asset manager in the world, has increased its Ethereum accumulation by purchasing 52,730 Ethereum worth more than $93million in the last 24hrs. With a total value exceeding $5.5 billion, the Ethereum Trust of Grayscale now holds more than 3.13million ETH.
The latest data from crypto Analytics firm bybt.com shows that Grayscale has accumulated a total amount of 111.182 Ethereum over the past 7 days following a substantial jump in ETH prices. ETH trades above $1,760, with a market cap totaling $200 billion as of writing.
Grayscale also bought 36,987 Litecoin within the last 24 hours. This was the first time that Grayscale’s LTC assets have surpassed $250 million. Litecoin’s performance has been excellent in recent weeks, with the cryptocurrency up over 20% in the past 7 days. LTC is the 8th most valued crypto asset with a market capital of approximately $12 billion.
A report by an asset management company on Ethereum was published recently and highlighted the potential benefits of ETH2.0.
Grayscale and Bitcoin
Despite recent ETH accumulation, Bitcoin remained Grayscale’s largest holding. Although the company’s Bitcoin accumulation has slowed down in recent days BTC still holds more than 80%. In the last 24 hours, 170 Bitcoin were purchased by the firm for more than $8,000,000. The firm currently manages 650,360 Bitcoin with a total worth $30.5 billion. Grayscale is the largest institutional holder in BTC. The company also holds nearly 269,000 Bitcoin Cash, with a total value of $140million, and 12.29 million Ethereum Classic worth approximately $139million.
Grayscale’s crypto assets totaled $37 billion yesterday, after Bitcoin reached $48,500 for its first time. BTC currently has more than $880 million in market capital. The total market cap for Cryptocurrencies is approximately $1.43 trillion.
