Crypto Exchanges Bitget Becomes Sponsor of Galatasaray

After its deal with Juventus made headlines, crypto exchange Bitget has signed another major sponsorship deal with a popular Turkish football team, Galatasaray.

Bitget announced Thursday that it will continue to sponsor the football club’s 2021-2022 season. Bitget will sponsor the football club for the remainder of the ongoing 2021-2022 playing season.

Sandra Lou, CEO of Bitget, stated that Turkey has shown significant interest in crypto and she looks forward to expanding her community as they continue to offer educational and knowledge sharing opportunities in the space.

Capital Sports Media Group brokered the deal, but they did not disclose the amount.

Deep Pocket Crypto Companies

Sponsorship deals are made when cryptocurrency companies all over the world spend money on marketing campaigns in order to get closer to the mainstream.

Several cryptocurrency exchanges, including FTX, Crypto.com and Coinbase, recently spent tens to millions of dollars on short ad spaces during the Super Bowl. The simple campaign by Coinbase was so well-received that it could not handle the sudden surge in traffic, and briefly crashed.

Bitget has signed multiple deals in the sport industry, even before the Galatasaray deal. It is currently the sleeve sponsorship of Juventus, an Italian football team, and a few deals in the esports sector.

Bikem Kanik (Vice President Galatasaray) said that they are proud to announce their sponsorship agreement with Bitget.

“Galatasaray worked hard to find a crypto-exchange that fits our vision. We decided Bitget, one of the most respected crypto companies in the world, was the right brand for us to enter into this mutually benefiting agreement. We look forward working closely with them to align on our visions.
