Bitcoin whales are addresses that hold between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC. They have increased their portfolios over the past 48 hours. Santiment reports that large Bitcoin wallets have added nearly 40,000 coins to their holdings over the last 2 days.
Today, BTC whales have the same amount of coins today as before the dump began. The latest accumulation caused Bitcoin’s price to rise above $42,500. During the same period, BTC’s cryptocurrency market dominance has risen.
“Bitcoin is up and has seen a +$1,000 price increase in the last 5 hours. This is after the whales have added 40k BTC to their account in the last 2 days. “They now have the same amount as before their dump started at $49k,” Santiment reported in its report.
Long-term BTC owners remained calm during the crypto market corrections of 2021. The data shows that the majority of them increased their holdings or bought the dip.
